December Newsletter 2009

Dear All

I can't believe it's December already!

This Decembers newsletter brings you news of training, events and festive partying...

Woburn 10kEvents

Woburn 10k

Congratulations on those who took part in the 10k at Woburn last week. I am sorry I wasn't there, I will book my place well in advance next time. Your photos are on the Challenge Central website.

Stevenage Half Marathon

Stevenage Half Marathon

Excellent achievements from all involved in the half marathon in Stevenage. Lots of first timers and personal bests.

Thanks also to those who came to support us in some horrible weather conditions.

Special congratulations to Malcolm who put us to shame by running twice as far on the same day by completing New York Marathon in 3hrs 25mins! - Achievements

12 in 12

12 Marathons in 12 Months!
Most of you have been persuaded to do at least one by now, but for those who haven't given in it - nor I have I!

The list has been updated and there will be further changes to some of the marathons towards the end of the year but the first 6 are all definitely happening and I have booked into them all.

Here is the full list - Life is too short not to ;)

Bedford Harrier's Half Marathon

There is a half marathon on the 13th of Dec. This is the day after our Christmas/birthday bash so I won't be attending this one but both Lee and Doug are booked in if anyone else fancies it. See the Challenge Central website.

Training Sessions

Triathlon TrainingTriathlon training sessions will be running every Sunday from 1.15pm.

The sessions will include swimming with biking and/or running.

See Triathlon Training.

Assessments

It's the first Saturday of the month this week which should mean assessment day but I am away taking part in the Grim Challenge so the assessment session will therefore run this Friday evening between 7-8pm. Let me know if you want to come so I can recommend a time slot. We might have push through them as I will only have an hour.

Christmas Training and hours

christmas partyI will be away between the 17th - 23rd which will obviously effect a lot of your training schedules, I will speak to you all personally about it but I wanted to make you are aware that I will be available on the 24th and 26th.

Depending on interest and your work patterns I will also put on group training slots every day if anyone want to go on a training blitz between Christmas and New Year.

Christmas Party

We will be celebrating a year of achievements and results on December the 12th which is also my birthday.

There is a discussion on the forum about times and plans. Come and get involved, I won't tell you off for drinking! (I will tell you off if you aren't)

Website Updates

The achievements section and the client profile section have been updated. I still need some photos of some of you, don't let me forget this week!

I will be working on the grading system this month ready to get it started in the new year!

New Year... New you?

For any of you out there who have let your training slip over the past few months, all is not lost - I am only ever a phone call away!

The best time to get back into training was yesterday... the next best time is today!

Look forward to seeing you all soon

Alan
