Squash Fit Group Session
SquashFit is a combination of Squash Coaching and Fitness Training put into a fun, social, group environment.
The sessions run on Tuesdays at 6pm. The sessions are designed for beginners to intermediate levels of squash ability, although complete beginners are welcome. The combination of coaching and training means that the learning curve is very fast.
Sessions will rotate members in a circuit like system of coaching and training with game playing to finish.
Squash Coaching
The coaching will consist of improving your racket skills and understanding of rules and tactics. We will teach you how to hold the racket properly, how to move around the court efficiently and where to hit the ball.
Fitness Training
The fitness session will be broken down into short fast burst combinations of exercises which will also help with squash specific fitness.
Small groups allows motivation and guidance of personal training without constant supervision. The group sessions are great ways of meeting similar people and joining in with some friendly competition.
The fitness side of the sessions consist of court drills and sometimes use of the gym equipment. See the videos in the bottom right section of the page for some of the Squash Fit Fitness drills.
Sport Conditioning
If you are a more serious squash player and more concerned with your squash fitness performance then you will probably find the SportFit sessions on a saturday morning more beneficial - SportFit Session
Although the SportFit sessions are suitable for all sports, most of the participants are squash players..
